Military
Drafted into army during Korean War. Combat wounded = recrived Purple Heart. Released from army in 1953 and joined navy. Retired in February 1971 on 20 yrs.
Was wedded to my ONE AND ONLY TRUE LOVE, Takeko Rita Nakabachi Mounts for nearly 47 years - m. 19 April 1956 and she crossed over on 11 April 2003 at 8 P.M. at Sharp Memorial Hospital. We have one adoppted daughter, Christine Maki Mounts Farr, who will be 51 on 22 May 2003. Two years ago she had right mastectomoy and is in rehab due to Chemo and radiation. Doing great. ned to college to get degree in Computer Science, so she can return to work. She worked in computers for over 18 years before her surgery.
I spent my time at home and was a volunteer for the nearby Senior Citizens Center from OCT 1998 to DEC 2008 before I retired.
Got to the Third Infantry Division Annual Reunions to different cities and the USS JUPITER{-AVS-8} Annual Reunions also to different cities. Only two times of a year that I travel from San Diego. I do miss the Summer Class of 1946 Class Reunions. Wish they were still being held.
